IIT - JEE Notification 2011:
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all-India entrance examination administered and conducted by IIT’s for admission to undergraduate courses at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
· Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination, namely, XII standard or any equivalent examination, after 1st October 2009 or in the year 2010 or will be appearing in 2011
· Refer IIT website to know the details of minimum percentage of marks in Qualifying Exams
· You can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years (that means you should have attempted JEE for the first time in 2010 or will be appearing in 2011)

JEE Test format:

· Examination schedule: 10th April, 2011, (Sunday); Paper 1, 09.00-12.00 hrs; Paper 2, 14.00-17.00 hrs
· Online application process: 01st November, 2010 to 15th December, 2010
· Sale of offline applications: 12th November, 2010 to 15th December, 2010
· Last date for receipt of duly completed application forms (off-line or printed copy of on-line) at IITs: 20th December, 2010

- 2 question papers and each will have 3 sections separately (Maths, Physics and Chemistry)
- Time period for each question paper is 3 hours
- All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions)
- Answers should be marked on Optical Response Sheet (ORS) using HB pencils only
- The candidate will have the option of submitting the application form either on-line or off-line
- Incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks
- Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi (This option should be exercised while filling the application form. It cannot be changed at any later stage.
