Production optimization:

It is a live industrial project, where you can optimize the production process by allocating efficient machine for that process. By optimizing the process we will be able reduce the production time and cost. The efficiency of the machine is determined based on its performance and cost of production. You can derive suitable optimization equation and set boundary conditions. Solve the equation using LPP. You can get machine specification, lead time, machining time and other details required for efficiency calculation in any manufacturing industry.

Assignment Optimization:

Assignment methods in operations research are assigning optimized machine for particular job. You can calculate efficiency of machines and allocate them in assignment problem and calculate suitable machine for that particular job.

Design of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder:

Choosing and Designing of efficient hydraulic cylinder, pneumatic cylinder or hydropnuematic cylinders based on the application. Based on the output pressure and input source you can design the cylinders using standard design procedure. You can go for simple working model to make the project livelier or automate using automation software to determine the output pressure for your cylinder design.

Automatic packaging unit using hydraulic and pneumatic Actuator circuits:

You can take up packaging unit of any product and automate it completely using hydraulic and pneumatic actuator circuits. You can simulate using any simulation software like automation studio, HyPnue, Autosim.

Design of safety equipments for heavy machines:

You can design simple safety equipment which can be fixed to heavy machines like pressing machines, semi automatic drilling machines, and lathe. Cost saving safety equipment can be added advantage. You go for mechanical principles initially for designing equipments and later to advanced techniques like sensors if it is not feasible, as mechanical principles can only be cheapest equipment that can be designed.
